It's been a rough 2 months for my family. The engine in my brother's RX-8 went caput, so while that was getting repaired he was driving our '04 Suburban. That lasted 2 days. Some idiot hit my brother stopped at a stoplight going 65mph. Suburban was totaled, but my brother is fine. A few days later the battery on th Jetta went out. Then last Sunday my rear driveshaft gave out 10 miles from URE.
I am very thankful and grateful for the friend that picked me up. Dave and Oliver's Custom Driveshaft was able to repair it and is building me a custom one. I'll just keep the old one as a trail spare.
One good thing did come from this though. Insurance worked in our favor and my dad was able to get a new truck.
...that I am not allowed to tow with. Which means I'm in the market for a tow rig and trailer.
